THE FIRST SACRAL OBJECT
5th century
FIRST HALF
In the 4th or 5th century, an early Christian religious building was built in the western part of the complex. In the beginning, this building was an oratory with a brick altar, but with the increase in the number of believers, the need arose for the construction of a higher quality and more substantial building.

MIDDLE
Modifications and additions to the former oratory and the construction of the early Christian church took place in the middle of the 5th century. The new church is a three-nave building with a narthex. In the presbytery part, it has an inscribed apse, with a subsellium and a seat for the chairman of the mass celebration. The presbytery, in relation to the church, was raised in one step. There was a triumphal arch in front of the sanctuary.

the age of Justinian
Next to the church, on the north side, a new baptistery was built, and new additions and reconstructions of the church can be seen even later - probably in the 6th century. On the baptistery, on its eastern side, an apse was added. A building with a pentagonal apse was added to the south wall. A new altar was built in the sanctuary.
